Water conservation and smart irrigation education are two main goals that South Jordan City would like to accomplish with residents' help. Twice a year, in early spring and late fall, an irrigation workshop is held in the South Jordan City Public Works Building to help educate residents on how to save water and irrigate responsibly. Some of the topics that are covered by City staff are irrigation tune-up and winterization, backflow program, water conservation and city rebates. We also take the opportunity to answer any specific questions you might have.
Positive feedback has been received from residents who have attended in the past and City staff encourages all residents to come to these workshops and get your questions answered. If you are interested in participating or attending the irrigation workshop, feel free to contact Rick Maloy, City Water Conservation Coordinator (801) 254-3742
